Management Strategies and Techniques
Following
patient evaluation, a multimodality treatment plan is developed
to provide therapy for the central and peripheral components of
a patient's particular pain syndrome. Often, more than one of
the following treatment strategies must be used simultaneously.

Injection therapy
(epidural steroids, somatic and sympathetic blocks, facet
joint injections and trigger point injections.

Electrical nerve
stimulation (dorsal column stimulator).

Myeloscopy/epiduroscopy.

Radio frequency
lessoning.

Infusion pumps.

Occupational
rehabilitation.

Physical therapy.

Psychiatric evaluation
and treatment.
